After traversing the globe during her childhood and obtaining a couple of degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia (a bachelor of journalism and a master of arts - emphasis magazine writing), Amber settled in Colorado — her place of birth. She spent several years holding assorted positions at Westword, Denver’s alternative newsweekly, in the general news, arts-and-culture and (relatively new) cannabis departments, giving her a well-rounded perspective of the Queen City of the West, and she's done award-winning work for trade publications as well.
Amber has also spent several years developing her experience and understanding of corporate branding and content; she’s created and maintained style guides, written white papers and built content strategies for publications, associations, non-profit organizations, publicly and privately held companies — and individual clients.
Currently, Amber works full-time for HouseCanary, a predictive analytics powerhouse in the real estate industry. She was named a "Trendsetter" in the 2017 Swanepoel Power 200 list, which acknowledges "innovators, dealmakers, and movers-and-shakers who made a noteworthy impact over the last year" in real estate, and her assessment of revenue and expenses at the National Association of Realtors won a NAREE Gold Award for "Best Economic Analysis" in 2017.
